Features

Everything FingerDrumPad can do

A tour through the three pillars — and every supporting feature that rounds out the kit.

Pillar 1

Layout Freedom

Pads in any polygon shape, placed anywhere on screen.

  • Free-form pad shapes

Polygons with 3–10 vertices. Make the kick large and round, the snare wide and horizontal, the hi-hat small and compact. L-shapes, trapezoids, diamonds — any shape you want.

  • Placement anywhere

Place pads anywhere on screen. Put the snare front-right for right-handed play, or flip the layout for left-handed. Reproduce your real kit exactly — or invent something new.

  • Unlimited kit saves

Group pads closer for tricky fills, save a kit for each situation. Pro lets you create as many kits as you want — your ideas become your personal drum stage. Free includes one kit.

Pillar 2

Practice Mode

Rhythm-game feel meets serious drum practice.

  • Real-time judgment

Tap pads as notes flow across the screen for instant feedback: "Perfect!", "Good!", "Early…", "Late…". The satisfying feel of a rhythm game — but real drum practice.

  • Combos & scores

Chain consecutive Perfects to build your combo and raise your score. Set a repeat count and drill any pattern until it sticks.

  • Ranks & fanfare

At the end of each run, your S–D rank is revealed with a fanfare that matches the result. Longer patterns add an endurance bonus for an even bigger score.

  • Timing heatmap

A visual heatmap compares today's timing deviations against your all-time tendencies, so you can see exactly where you drift.

  • Per-pad statistics

Beyond a score breakdown, see your most accurate pad and the one to focus on next — your practice plan writes itself.

  • Practice story

An auto-generated, plain-language summary of your score, combo, and timing tendencies — your run, narrated back to you.

  • Streaks & weekly summary

Daily streaks and a weekly recap keep your motivation going, long after the first burst of inspiration fades.

  • Next-practice suggestion

Based on your score, the app suggests what to do next — speed up if you scored high, slow down if you need work. One tap and you're in the optimal session.

  • Recording & playback

Every run is recorded automatically. Keep one with a tap and replay it later — your taps, the original chart, BPM, and pad flashes all play back in sync. Great for reviewing your own performance.

Pillar 3

Sequencer Mode & Sound Expansion

Build beats, expand your sounds, connect to everything.

  • 16th- to 32nd-note grids

    Place kicks, snares, hi-hats, toms on a fine grid. Four resolutions — 16th, 16th triplet, 32nd, 32nd triplet (4 / 6 / 8 / 12 divisions per beat) — for any groove.

  • Time signature changes

Move beyond 4/4. Pick from 3/4, 4/4, 5/4, or 7/4 per bar and the grid follows.

  • Build patterns fast

Add empty bars up to 64, Fill All Bars in one tap, swipe horizontally between bars. Current Bar / All Bars playback sits right next to Play.

  • Folder management

Play beats back instantly. Organize your favorite patterns into folders and find them in a tap.

  • Send to Training

Turn any beat into a practice pattern. Convert "that rhythm I always want to play" into a drill — a level of freedom unique to this app.

  • MIDI export

Export your beats as MIDI files and bring them straight into your DAW. When inspiration strikes, shape it instantly.

Plus

Everything else, in one glance

All the supporting features that round out the kit.

Multi-touch & choke

Hit several pads at once with both hands. Long-press cymbals to choke the sound.

Touch velocity

Estimates velocity from your touch — and calibrates per finger (thumb, index, pinky).

Haptic feedback

Vibration on every tap. Four levels: Off / Light / Medium / Heavy.

Metronome

40–200 BPM, 1–12 beat time signatures. Practice partner or live click track.

Song ensemble

Play drums along with songs from your Music library. ±10s skip, scrub, pitch-preserved playback speed (50–100%), and a dedicated Volume Mix sheet — per-song speed memory included.

Interactive tutorial

A 6-page learn-by-doing walkthrough. You can't proceed until you actually tap a pad.

SF2 SoundFonts

Browse inside any SF2, one-tap preview every sample, auto-generate a kit from GM maps. Imported kits stay compatible too — voices are matched automatically by drum role. Pro only.

AUv3 plugins

Assign any AUv3 instrument to any pad. The audition sheet scans the plugin for mapped notes, so you always pick the right starting note. Pro only.

MIDI output

USB MIDI to Mac/PC. Pick your transmit channel and switch between multiple devices.

Custom drum maps

Register Roland, Yamaha, and your own MIDI note layouts. Switch maps the moment you need them.

In-app help

A circled "?" button in every mode opens a sheet of the icons and controls on the current screen — with one-line descriptions.

Private by default

Opt-in crash reporting (Firebase Crashlytics, off by default), in-app privacy policy, and a user-initiated diagnostics export. You control what leaves the device.
